Our staff vary in ages and cycling interests and take the time to find out what you need. Grandmas rub shoulders with budding Lance Armstrongs and everyone feels at home. The customers do too! It’s just that we all like different music so expect anything from Pavorotti to Pearl Jam. But on Saturday when the boys are off racing Rod Stewart rules the workshop.
Jo Pearson
A Newcastle girl with a strong background in retail. After two knee reconstructions she is now riding a Trek Navigator. Her kids have grown up and she has two lively grandchildren. She works part-time to fit in with her busy family schedule and ensures the shop always looks its best. Jo just loves spending time with customers making sure they are happy and looked after well and keeps us all on our toes with her retail inspections.
Derek Francis
Derek works full time and is the oil that keeps the workshop rolling along smoothly. He has a vast knowledge of bikes and the bike racing world having grown up around it all his life. He is now putting all that knowledge to great use and can get you on the right bike for your needs. Check out his trophies from the races he has won!
Leonie Woods
Leonie also grew up around the bike racing scene and gained a great appreciation and knowledge of bikes and their operation. She comes in on Tuesday and Friday and like Derek can really help put you on the right bike. She also comes in at other times when needed.
Brian Birrell & Shaaron Moore
Brian & Shaaron like many of us has always been around bikes since a young age but not in the competitive sense. Brian & Shaaron are more a recreational cyclists but have loads of info they can pass on with all the latest info on bikes and are happy to chat about anything to do with them. We like to do is keep people up to date so they can make informed choices.
